Situated on the eastern shore of the Lake Garda, Malcesine did not lose anything of its medieval atmosphere. Plenty of rental points and sailing schools and clubs guarantee quick headway and lot of pleasure. However, mountain biking around the resort, parachutting from properly equipped cliffs and extensive mountain hiking possibilities should satisfy those, who do not love water so much. As far as leisure activities are concerned, most performances are held at the foot of Malcesine Castle. In Cassone, you can take advantage of visiting the Cyclamen Festival, where traditional "bisse" races on long, narrow boats are held among other attractions.
Situated in the neighbourhood of the local harbour, Palazzo dei Capitani - a palace from the Venetian period is worth a visit.

Cassone is also proud of having probably the shortest river in the world - 175 meters long Aril.
The Malcesine castle is another place to take a look at. Built long time ago, probably by the Longobards, it was completely reconstructed by the Scaligers and later renovated by both Venetians and Austrian forces. Nowadays, its interiors hide a museum about the flora and fauna of Lake Garda. Do not forget to climb up its tower to achieve spectacular sight of the town.
